Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder & onion powder. Whisk until thoroughly combined.

Cut up butter into 1/2inch evenly sized cubes. Pour flour mixture into a food processor, add the butter and pulse 4-5 times until you get pea sized chunks.

Add the cheese and pulse 2-3 more times and pour mixture back into bowl.

Slowly add the buttermilk and whisk, don't add all at once and make sure dough is not too sticky. Pour dough out and knead until it comes together

Dust with flour and roll into oval and fold each side into the center and roll again. Fold one more time and wrap with plastic wrap and place in the fridge 30mins or up to overnight.

When ready to bake, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl crack an egg and add a splash of butter milk. Whisk together.
